| Class Information Location Classes meet on Monday evenings throughout the year at The Mangan Banquet Center, 1585 Grange Hall Road, Beavercreek, OH (Map). This renovated facility has a beautiful wood floor. Beginners Class from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
There is a $4.00 fee for each visit with the first visit being free. Reduced fees can be arranged for students or others on a limited/fixed income. Two levels of classes are offered, Fundamentals and General. Fundamentals (Beginners): This class, beginning in September and lasting until June, focuses on the fundamental steps and formations of Scottish Country Dancing. The emphasis is on providing new dancers, or dancers desiring some refresher training, a solid foundation of skills needed to dance Scottish country dances. The class will normally begin on the second Monday in September with a free Introduction to Scottish Country Dancing class; we will post the date on UP COMING SPECIAL EVENTS when scheduled, so check back often. General: This class, offered year round, is for dancers who have completed the FUNdamentals class or otherwise have developed a good knowledge of the basic steps and formations of Scottish Country Dancing. The emphasis is on good social dancing skills, with technique instruction intended to refine basic steps and formations and develop skills in more advanced steps, formations and dances. Most Monday nights are intermediate level classes, featuring a mix of technique instruction and dances. Some Monday nights will be social classes, with less technique instruction.
