Taught by Etienne Ozorak, class will be limited to 12 participants. Fee:
$15.
May 31, Saturday Afternoon Classes:
• Level 1: This class is for dancers who have been
introduced to the basic steps and formations and have a basic understanding
of progressions. It will focus on improving footwork, phrasing and handing
technique and learning new formations. Participants should be able to
learn a new dance of moderate difficulty by walking it through from
first position, but may occasionally need some help getting through
a dance.
• Level 2: This class is for dancers who know the
basic steps as well as advanced formations, such as The Knot and Set
and Link. It will focus on clean and accurate footwork, phrasing and
handing and maintaining a good standard of technique from exercises
to actual dancing. Participants should be able to learn a new dance
of moderate difficulty from watching someone walk it through from first
position, get through most dances without help, and recover from errors
within a bar or two.
