Annual HEATHER ‘N THISTLE PICNIC

Saturday, AUGUST 28TH

This is always a fun afternoon to visit with old friends and one you won’t want to miss!

You are invited to join us with your children and/or grandchildren for a picnic at Bagpipe Farms (Joan Reed’s home) in Guernsey County outside of Cambridge, Ohio.

The Heather ‘n’ Thistle group has been fortunate to stage a picnic for several years at Bagpipe Farms and we are going to do it again this year. We would encourage all of our members and former members to join us as we relax and renew acquaintances in this delightful rural setting. Joan is looking forward to seeing everyone who comes.

Bring your gillies and a covered dish to share (ham provided). Arrive between 12:00-1:00 pm and you will be in good time to enjoy the complete afternoon.

Let me know how many will be in your party so that we can make certain we have enough beverages, etc.

If you’re interested in joining us but would prefer to ride with another member, we will try to arrange car pools.

Directions Directions to Bagpipe Farm: From the intersection of I-70 and I-77 in Cambridge go North on I-77 to the first exit (#46). Turn right, go East on US 40 and drive one mile. Southeastern Equipment will be on your right. The yard will be full of large yellow heavy equipment. Pass the office building and immediately you will see Cooks Run Road. Turn left on Cooks Run Road, drive a mile and a half North to Bagpipe Farm. There is a sign on the left side of the road @ the farm

See you at the HNT picnic!

Contact Bill Seaton by email or phone 614-286-0106 to let me know if you are planning to come, and to ask about car pooling or any other questions.

DATE and TIME: Sunday, October 24, 2010, 2-5 pm

COST: $22 for the dance alone, but why not combine it with another part of the weekend and give another tradition a try?

MUSIC: Earl Gaddis (fiddle) and Jacqueline Schwab (piano)

DANCE PROGRAM:

Full details including registration form, crib notes, and maps may be found online at http://www.bigscioty.com/shaw.html.

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
