Slip the Surly Bonds 32S 2C (6x32or 8x32)

(Recommended music: any good strathspey)

1-8 All set twice; dance right hands across all the way 'round.

9-16 9-10: 1^st couple turn both hands half way, opening up to finish in the middle facing down with near hands joined on opposite sides of the set. Meanwhile, 2^nd couple cast up into first place to end facing down (1^st couple & 2^nd couple in line across the set facing down).

11-14: 1^st and 2^nd couples join near hands and dance down.

15-16: 1^st and 2^nd couples drop hands; 1^st couple turn both hands half way to finish in the middle facing up, near hands joined. Meanwhile, 2^nd couple dances down and in to meet in the middle, near hands joined facing up, behind 1^st couple.

17-24 17-20: 1^st couple, followed by 2^nd couple, dance up to top of set.

21-22: 1^st couple cast off into second place while 2^nd couple drop hands and dance into 1^st place.

23-24: 2^nd and 1^st couple turn partner with right hand finishing on own sides (note: it is important to finish this figure on the sidelines in order to ensure proper phrasing of the final eight bars).

25-32 2^nd and 1^st couple dance full poussette.
